PC&FPF Receives $10,000 Donation To The “Mike Goldstein Health & Wellness Fund”

On Friday, December 10, Jeff and Donna Olson donated $10,000 to the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund’s
“Mike Goldstein Health & Wellness Fund.” The Olson’s donated both private monies and monies from their business,
ShareCom Telecom & IT Advisors.
Olson said, “When Chief Goldstein retired, we wanted to do something that would support his legacy of
keeping first responders mentally, physically and spiritually healthy. When we learned about The Plymouth
Crime & Fire Prevention Fund and its ‘Mike Goldstein Health and Wellness Fund,’ it was a perfect fit. There
is no better time than now to support our valued first responders and police departments.” Chief Goldstein
retired on January 31, 2021.

PC&FPF Awards Scholarship To Plymouth Firefighter!

We are proud to announce that, while we are still being cautious during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to award a scholarship to our own Plymouth Firefighter, Ryan Montgomery.  Ryan will be seeking his Paramedic Certification.  While not required by the City, the skills he will attain will be a tremendous asset to Plymouth!
Funds for scholarships come from the Corky Ornburg Scholarship Fund, which was originally funded by Corky’s wife, Margaret, and son, Jeffrey, in his memory.  Corky was a founding member of PC&FPF, and served as Treasurer for 40 years until his passing on January 25, 2018. He was recognized with the “Public Safety Legacy Award” by Public Safety Director, Mike Goldstein, in 2017.

Congratulations Ryan!!

Fundraiser for Plymouth Police Department’s K-9 Program

Luce Line Brewing, PC&FPF, and the Plymouth Lions are hosting a “Luce Line & K-9s” event to raise funds to replace one of the Plymouth Police Department’s K-9s that was unexpectedly lost in 2020.  It will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd from 3 to 9 p.m. at the brewery, 12901 16th Avenue North, Plymouth.

This is a dog friendly event, and each pup that visits the fundraiser can sample their Luce Line Brewing Dog Treats, and pup parents can partake of beer & seltzers!  T-shirts in support of the program can be purchased during the event or prior to it on lucelinebrewing.com.

Even During the Covid-19 Pandemic, PC&FPF Grants Another Scholarship!

Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to award a scholarship to Ezechiel Agbemadon, and he will be seeking his degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Science at Minnesota State University, Mankato.  Zeke hopes to work in the Criminal Intelligence Branch of the CIA, FBI, or NSA.
