Congratulations To Plymouth Police Officer Ben Duncan And His Canine Partner, Rico!
Congratulations are in order for Plymouth Police Officer Ben Duncan and his canine partner, Rico. The duo was recently awarded the narcotics case of the year for 2025 by the United States Police Canine Association, Region 12.
Together, Officer Duncan and Rico were able to detect and recover 15 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop last year.
Thank you both for your outstanding work to help keep Plymouth safe!
PC&FPF Is Excited To Announce The Appointment Of Andy Etzel To The Position Of Plymouth Fire Chief!
A 20-year veteran of the Plymouth Fire Department, Etzel most recently held the position of assistant fire chief, an appointment that began in December 2024, and was subsequently named interim fire chief in November 2025.
As Plymouth fire chief, Etzel will oversee Plymouth Fire Department operations and staff โ comprised of a blend of full-time career firefighters, part-time/on-call firefighters, leadership staff and fire inspectors โ which respond to an array of fire, emergency, traffic crash and medical calls.

Sergeant Chris Kuklock Retired on December 19th, 2025 after serving a distinguished 31-year career serving the citizens of the City of Plymouth.
Sergeant Chris Kuklock (#47) signed off from his final shift on December 19, 2025, marking the conclusion of a distinguished 31-year career serving the citizens of the City of Plymouth. Throughout his career, Chris worked side by side with fellow professionals, driven by a commitment to protect those who cannot protect themselves and to help those in need.
Chris played an integral role in shaping the department into what it is today. From Community Services events to SWAT readiness, he remained engaged, current, and dedicated in every aspect of the job. He was highly trained in defensive tactics, medical response, firearm technology, and criminal psychology, and he selflessly shared his knowledge and experience to help train and mentor others.
As Chris begins this next chapter, he is keeping his future plans open. For now, he looks forward to spending time with his family and enjoying the simple moments that were often set aside during his many years of service.
Congratulations, Chris, and thank you for a lifetime of dedicated service to our community.
