About The Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund

We are residents and business persons that work in partnership with the Plymouth Police and Fire Departments to reduce crime, prevent injury and enhance safety in our community.

Our Story

The Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund (PC&FPF) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization made up of Plymouth residents and business persons. We incorporated in 1977 to raise money to purchase a bullet proof vest for each Plymouth police officer.

Since this time, our continued mission is to work with our police and fire departments to reduce crime, prevent injury, and enhance safety in our community. We do this by developing new initiatives, supporting ongoing programs, and purchasing state-of-the art equipment.

The PC&FPF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  Donations may be tax deductible.

Meet Corky & Barry – Our Plush Pups with a Purpose!

You can take home one of our adorable Plush Pups for $20 – a fun way to support the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund and honor two remarkable individuals who gave so much to our community. Our K-9 pup, “Corky,” is named after Courtland “Corky” Ornburg, a founding member of PC&FPF in 1977 and our Treasurer for nearly 40 years. A retired Wayzata teacher and advocate for scholarships for Plymouth Police, EMTs, and Firefighters, Corky was recognized with the Public Safety Legacy Award in 2017 for his decades of dedicated service. Our Dalmatian, “Barry,” is named in memory of Barry Bergh, a passionate and energetic board member who joined PC&FPF after completing the Plymouth Citizens Academy. Barry brought contagious enthusiasm to every event and project until his passing in early 2025. Together, Corky and Barry continue to represent the spirit of dedication and community that defines the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund.
